What Are Lowe’s Kids’ Workshops?

During every workshop, participants receive a free kit that includes all the materials needed to complete the project. With safety goggles on, kids work at in-store wooden worktables while assembling their builds. Each month features a different project, often tied to a seasonal theme, so no two workshops are exactly the same.
Lowe’s has also hinted that future workshops may include digital elements, such as digital badges replacing physical ones. Participation may require a free MyLowe’s Rewards account, though full details have not yet been officially confirmed.

You must register for Lowe’s Kids’ Workshops in advance to attend. Walk-ins are not guaranteed, and registration allows you to reserve spots for up to four children per workshop.

Create a Lowe’s Account
If you don’t already have one, sign up for a free MyLowe’s account. Early information suggests that a MyLowe’s Rewards account may be required for registration and participation in future workshops, especially if digital badges are introduced.
Choose a Workshop
Visit the Lowe’s DIY-U Kids’ Workshops page to view upcoming events. Registration typically opens up to one month in advance, so checking early is recommended.
Select Your Store
The registration form will automatically select a nearby Lowe’s location. Be sure to confirm it’s the store you plan to attend, or search for a different location if needed.
Complete Your Registration
Pick your preferred time slot, select the number of children attending, and submit the form. A confirmation email from Lowe’s should arrive shortly after you register.
Pro Tip: If you miss registration, stop by your local Lowe’s near the end of the workshop. Stores often have extra kits available and may hand them out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lowe’s Kids’ Workshop FAQs
Register for and attend Lowe’s monthly DIY-U Kids’ Workshops to start collecting limited-edition workshop badges. Each time your child participates in a workshop, they’ll earn a badge to add to their apron.
After completing six qualifying workshops, your mini-builder can become a Junior Builder. Simply bring the six qualifying badges to your next registered workshop and show them to a Lowe’s Red Vest associate. Your child will then receive a special-edition Junior Builder badge to attach to their apron. Be sure to add each badge to the apron after every workshop.
Attend 12 qualifying DIY-U Kids’ Workshops, and your mini-builder can advance to Senior Builder status. After earning all 12 badges, upload a photo of your child’s apron showing their name and qualifying badges at Lowes.com/srbuilder.
Once verified, Lowe’s will mail your mini-builder a special-edition Senior Builder badge, a signed certificate, and a Kobalt® two-piece tool bag—delivered straight to your door.
