Lowe's Kids Workshop
Lowe’s Kids’ Workshops (once called Lowe’s Build and Grow) have become a go-to activity for families — and it’s easy to see why! Not only are these workshops completely free, but kids get hands-on fun learning real DIY skills. Parents love them too — because let’s be real, helping your kid swing a tiny hammer is adorable and surprisingly fun. No wonder these workshops always make the list of top Lowe’s money-saving and family-fun hacks!
The next Lowe’s Kids’ Workshop is set for Nov. 15, where little builders will get to create a Letter Box craft.
These workshops are similar to the Home Depot Kids’ Workshops and Michaels free craft classes, and each month brings a brand-new project. Past builds have included everything from toy trucks and butterfly biomes to tic-tac-toe boards. Plus, Lowe’s recently launched a Senior Builders Program, rewarding kids for attending multiple workshops — a fun way to track progress and encourage creativity.

What Are Lowe’s Kids’ Workshops?
DIY-U Kids’ Workshops are free monthly events where kids build fun hands-on projects right inside Lowe’s.
At each workshop, kids receive a complete building kit — including wood pieces, nails, and instructions — plus safety goggles to make their DIY experience feel official. Then it’s time to get building! With real wooden tables, child-friendly tools, and guidance from parents and store staff, kids get to assemble their project step-by-step.
Every month brings a new themed kit, often inspired by the season or upcoming holidays — think birdhouses, toolboxes, games, and more.
Lowe’s hosts Kids’ Workshops one Saturday each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Within that window, families can choose from four session times, making it easier to pick a slot that fits your schedule.
