Ibotta recently made changes to their app and it eliminates the fun of stacking with other
offers and coupons when getting a rebate. Ibotta used to be one of our favorite apps for shopping, and we could get around cash back and redemptions automatically, but no more.
Ibotta has quietly updated their coupon stacking policy, making it against the rules to combine Ibotta offers with other coupons and deals.
Ibotta recently updated their Help section under the question, "Can I use coupons or other promotions with Ibotta offers?" Now their answer to that question is a resounding "No." They also add more details that “Ibotta offers cannot be combined with manufacturer coupons, paper coupons, digital coupons, or other rewards promotions.”
So not only did Ibotta update their Help section with the new lingo, but now they put fine print on individual offers.
So what happens if you try to do it anyway? Ibotta says if you submit a receipt where you used manufacturer coupons, paper coupons, digital coupons, or other rewards promotions, pending offers may be reversed before any cash back is applied.
We’ve seen this type of restriction before with Checkout 51, but it was only on select offers.
