Let's get started!

Gathering Supplies from Dollar Tree

Creating adorable DIY carrot eggs doesn't have to break the bank. With a little creativity and some supplies from Dollar Tree, you can make these cute Easter decorations without spending a fortune. In this first step, we will guide you through the process of gathering all the necessary supplies from your local Dollar Tree store.

Dollar Tree Twine Eggs (they come in a 4 pack with sticks attached)

Waverly Chalk Paint in Pumpkin (you can use acrylic paint you will need more coats than the chalk paint)

Paint Brush

Boxwood Pick (I got mine at Walmart because Dollar Tree didn’t have any)

Hot glue gun if you want to secure the boxwood pieces better

After gathering all of your supplies from Dollar Tree, it's time to start preparing the eggs for your DIY carrot eggs project.

Start by applying 2 coats of the chalk paint.

Allowing for time to dry in between.

Once completely dry, use the stick that the eggs came on to create a larger hole where the stick came out of the egg from.

You will them add a dab of hot glue if you want to (this is optional) and then pull off pieces from the box wood and stick them inside the hole you created.

With just a few inexpensive supplies from Dollar Tree and some creativity, you can create these adorable DIY carrot eggs that are perfect for Easter or any springtime celebration. Not only will they add a pop of color to your home decor, but they also make great gifts for friends and family. We hope this guide has inspired you to get crafting and try making your own carrot eggs. Remember to have fun and let your imagination run wild!
