This coupon cannot be combined with other dollar off Dollar General "basket" coupons. A basket coupon is a dollar off coupon on the basket of items. This includes the $5.01 off P&G, your birthday coupon, the $2.00 off $10.00 etc. The $5.00 off $20.00 & $30.00 Gain coupon is a threshold coupon. It is considered a threshold coupon because it is a brand item, (GAIN) and you have to reach a threshold of the Gain to get the discount. THIS COUPON CAN be in conjunction with the basket coupon.
Your Total has to be $25.00 AFTER, instant savings & deals and before taxes.
-Instant Savings; What is instant savings? It is the savings that is automatically applied when you buy qualifying items. The most common is the $4.00 instant savings when you spend $20.00 on cottonelle, viva.
In the case you have instant savings, you must add the savings you will be receiving to your $25.00, IE if you are savings $4.00 you must spend $29.00= $4.00 + $25.00=$29.00
-Deals (sale price) A common one that is often miscalculated is the cereal. The price is $3.00 in the app, but is on sale for 2 for $5.00, your app will calculate $6.00 for two boxes then show in the end that you are $1.00 more towards the $25.00. This will often make the $5.00 NOT come off. You want to make sure that you have the sale prices, this can be done by checking DEALS AVAILABLE under the product or by looking at the most recent ad.
-Before Tax; must be $25.00 BEFORE any taxes are added to your total
Do Not use the app for the calculation for your total. The app shows your total on the original price of the items, not the sale prices. This will give a false total. Use good old paper and pen or you can use our planner sheet. You can click on the pic and screen shot and print out for future use.
The $5.00 off $25.00 does not always come off in the app. Do not rely on the app to take off the coupon as it often does not come off

You will see a store discount on your receipt with a percentage taken off each item. This is the $5/$25.00
What can I do if my coupon did not come off?
First, make sure that you met the coupon requirements of the coupon listed above. If you are certain that they were all met, unfortunately there is not much that can be done. The cashiers are not supposed to override any digital coupon as they do not get credit for the coupon. The app is ran by a third party and sometimes it is just not coded correctly. You can call customer service and voice your concern, they have been known to send a $5.00 gift card etc.
