Best Fall Cocktails: Recipes You Must Try This Season

The leaves are changing color, the days are getting shorter and colder, and pumpkin spice everything is being sold at every grocery store. Fall has officially arrived! There's just something about this season that makes people want to curl up with a blanket by a fire or on their couch with a hot cup of tea. With all these new flavors coming into the market, it can be hard to decide what cocktail you should try first. This blog post will go through some delicious fall cocktails from around the world so you don't have to spend your time searching for them!


- Fall means a lot of things to different people. For some, it's the start of school and for others it's when football season starts back up again! It also signifies colder weather which is perfect for curling up by a fire with your favorite cocktail in hand. Here are some of the best fall cocktails you have to try this year:



Cider Sangria - This is the perfect summary fall drink! It has crisp apple cider with wine added to make it even better. If you don't like sangria, this recipe will change your mind!

INGREDIENTS


1 bottle, standard size of pinot grigio

2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider

1 cup club soda

1/2 cup ginger brandy

3 honey crisp apples, chopped

3 pears, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients together and stir, stir, stir. Refrigerate for an hour or so (or longer!) before serving.







Pumpkin Pie Martini - Pumpkin pie in a glass! Separate layers of pumpkin puree, vanilla vodka, and Kahlua are layered in a martini glass so they don't mix together. This is the perfect cocktail for any pumpkin lover! Frozen Whipped Cream: (optional)




1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tbsps confectioners' sugar

Cocktail:

2-3 tsps cinnamon sugar for the rim

1/4 cup vanilla vodka such as Absolut brand

1/4 cup Creme de Cacao liqueur (clear)**

1/2 cup heavy cream*

1-1/2 tsps pumpkin pie spice, more for sprinkling on top




Pumpkin Spice Latte Martini - The best part of fall can be found in this drink--pumpkins spice syrup! It has coffee liqueur and rum added to it along with pumpkin spice syrup. It's the perfect way to celebrate fall without having to drink coffee!






Hot Apple Cider- The base of this cocktail is hot apple cider which you can find at any grocery store during the season. Once you've made that, just add in some other ingredients like rum and applejack for a perfect fall cocktail.






Hot Buttered Rum - This is the classic drink for cold weather! You can make it with or without alcohol, but we definitely recommend having one of these if you want to warm up. The recipe has some other ingredients added to it like brown sugar and cinnamon which adds to the flavor.


2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

1/4 cup honey

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Pinch salt

3/4 cup spiced rum

2 cups boiling water

4 sticks cinnamon, for garnish

Using an electric mixer, beat the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a medium bowl until blended and smooth. Transfer the mixture to a 4-cup (or larger) measuring cup. Add the rum and then 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the butter mixture dissolves. Divide the buttered rum among 4 mugs. Garnish with the cinnamon sticks and serve.



Hot Toddy - This is another great drink to warm up with and it's perfect for when you're sick. It has whiskey, hot water, lemon juice, and honey which combines to make a delicious fall cocktail!






APPLE MULE- Apple pouring season is here, and so is this delightfully crisp mule.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

For one serving

1.5 oz Captain Morgan Sliced Apple

4 oz ginger beer

Cubed ice

Lemon wedge for garnish


Pour Captain Morgan Sliced Apple and ginger beer into a tumbler glass over ice.

Garnish with lemon.
