Hot Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream and Chocolate Fudge Drizzle

Ingredients
  

  • For the Cupcakes:
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Vanilla Buttercream:
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the Chocolate Fudge Drizzle:
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven & Prep Ingredients: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with liners.
  • Make Batter: Cream butter and sugar. Mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk and hot chocolate.
  • Bake: Fill liners 2⁄3 full. Bake for 18–20 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Prepare Buttercream: Beat butter and sugar, adding cream and vanilla until fluffy.
  • Make Fudge Drizzle: Heat cream, pour over chocolate chips, stir until smooth.
  • Assemble: Frost cupcakes, drizzle fudge, and garnish as desired.
