Here are some tips and tricks for making sure that your $5.00 off $25.00 Dollar General coupon comes off.
Your total before tax should be $25.00 +
Your total after DG Instant savings and before tax should be $25.00 +
The $25.00 DG threshold is Before Coupons, After Tax, And After DG Instant Savings, this means that your total after coupons as long as they are not instant savings can be under $25.00
Your $5.00 off $25.00 normally does not attach to your "shopping list" in app, so no matter how many items you add or total that you get to, the $5.00 normally hardly ever comes off.
Your coupon is only valid for the date listed on your coupon.
You can find your coupon printed on the bottom of your receipt and in your DG App weekly.
If your $5.00 did not come off ask yourself these questions
Did my total before taxes total $25.01 or more?
Did my total after DG instant savings total $25.01 or more?
Did I clip the $5.00 off $25.00 coupon to my account?
If all of these steps were followed correctly it could just be a glitch in the system.
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY $5/$25 Coupon came off?
Dollar General Receipts do not show a $5.00 coupon taken off, it shows a percentage of that $5.00 coupon taken off each item. This is what seems to confuse people and every week there are people who say the coupon was not taken off. When you have instant savings that is also done as a percentage off of each item included in that instant savings. See examples below.
